Where ski teams settle in for the early season
Every autumn, ski clubs and racing federations come to the Pitztal for one reason: the snow is here before it is almost anywhere else. The glacier reaches Austria's highest point, so by September/October the pistes are ready for gate training while the rest of the Alps is still waiting.
Landhaus Edelweiss is a natural base for those weeks. A personally run landhouse rather than a large hotel, close to the glacier lifts, with the calm and the good food a team needs between long days on the mountain. We welcome recognised ski federations at a special half-board rate on proof of federation membership.

The ski clubs offer
A rate built around your training block
Recognised ski clubs and federations training on the glacier in October and November stay with us on half board at a special team rate. Simple to arrange, and everything a group needs is on site.

Half board that fuels training
Breakfast to start the day and a warm dinner to recover, cooked in house. Portions and timing that work around early lifts and long sessions on the snow.

Minutes from the glacier
A short transfer to the Pitztal Glacier lifts, so mornings start early and easily. Space to load skis, boards and gear before you head up.

The whole team together
Rooms and studios for athletes and coaching staff under one roof, with the option to take over the Landhaus for larger groups. Quiet in the evening, so everyone rests well.
Why pro's train here in autumn
Reliable snow, before anywhere else
Because the ski area climbs to Austria's highest glacier, the Pitztal is the first ski area in Europe to open each season. For teams that means firm, dependable early-season snow for gate training exactly when it matters most.
