Two cable cars open up the whole range. The Rifflseebahn lifts you to the highest mountain lake in Austria, and the Gletscherexpress carries you to the edge of the eternal ice. From the Landhaus, both are within easy reach.

Relax by the lake or head for the ice. Both are reached comfortably by cable car, and both reward you with views over the Tyrolean Alps.
Lake Rifflsee, 2,232 m
Austria's highest mountain lake and a paradise for families. An easy circular walk of about an hour, a raft ride across the turquoise water, trail running for the sporty, and marmots along the way.
Pitztal Glacier, 3,440 m
Take the Glacier Express to the eternal ice. Guided glacier hikes, demanding summit tours towards the Wildspitze, and Café 3440, Austria's highest café, with a terrace over 50 three-thousanders.
